Pumpkin Therapist

I don't know which was more exciting for Tilberforce: first ride in a school bus, the school field trip to the pumpkin patch, or a surprise picnic lunch with her Dada. I, for one, was super excited about the zebra outfit that she picked out to wear that morning (complete with the Lego sneakers, which I wish came in my size).

In the Tilderness

Tillie and I joined our friends Hannah, Mansoor, and Salim for a camping trip at Lost Maples. We played in dirt, ate roasted marshmallows, saw Jupiter and her moons through a telescope, slept in a tent, hiked in the woods (some of us with 30-pound packs), saw a squirrel and a fuzzy caterpillar (wildlife!), splashed in a creek, threw rocks, and then came home. Shew--what an adventure!

Dear Django,

Because I love you, there is something I have to tell you about the world: The most considerate thing you can do is sleep between the hours of 10 pm and 7 am so that others can get their rest.
Sincerely,
your adoring yet fatigued mother

Tilstrom Goes Shopping

The new soundtrack for any trip to the store is now the pitter-patter of busy footsteps accompanied by the constantly repeating supplication, "Can I bring this home?"

Fun with Numbers

Given:
Tillie turned 3.
I made 48 banana cupcakes.
Scott inflated 40 balloons with helium.
Scott's dad grilled up 40+ burgers and 20+ hotdogs.
8 preschoolers (and their families) came over to celebrate.

Find:
How nuts could it have been?

Answer:
3-year-old's birthday party = Insanity!

Proof:
I could not capture on film any of the mayhem, but that was because we were having too much fun! Here are some glimpses:

PS. Tillie had so much fun that she asked me afterward if she could have another birthday. I told her she could have one every year. Then, she started to bargain with me. "How about 2 more?" I said that she could have a 100. And she countered with "How about 5?"

PPS. Thanks to all who made it a special day for mi princesa preciosa!
